We Love to Create
CONCEPT
The architectural concept for this residence is centered on compositional contrast and cantilevered massing. The design utilizes a "shifted box" approach, where the upper floor is pushed forward to create a natural, sheltered overhang for the main entrance without the need for additional columns. This play of volumes is emphasized by a deliberate material duality: the warmth of horizontal wood siding is inset against a crisp, white monolithic field, clearly defining the private living quarters from the service areas below. The result is a compact, modern form that maximizes its footprint while maintaining a light, sculptural presence.
The exterior design focuses on a clean, minimalist envelope that prioritizes functional simplicity and modern curb appeal. The facade is defined by its two-tone materiality, pairing a monolithic white stucco finish with a warm, recessed cedar-paneled bay on the second floor. This textural contrast is supported by a flat-roof silhouette and dark-framed windows that offer a sharp, contemporary edge. By integrating a flush-panel garage door and a matching horizontal privacy fence, the design creates a seamless, uniform appearance that feels both secure and sophisticated within its urban contex
