CONCEPT

The architectural concept for the exterior is an exploration of sacred gesture and symbolic form. The design draws inspiration from the human act of prayer, with the primary vertical masses positioned to evoke the image of two hands held together in a humble and powerful offering to the divine. Through a process of rhythmic extrusion and subtraction, the facade becomes a literal representation of this spiritual connection, using the building’s geometry to reach upward. This transformation turns the structure into a silent, permanent gesture of faith that anchors the community and defines the site’s sacred purpose.

Inspired by the philosophy that there is a beauty in simplicity, the design features clean lines and a minimalistic approach. Accessibility is a primary consideration, with a prominently located reception desk facilitating a seamless check-in process. State-of-the-art technology is seamlessly integrated to enhance operational efficiency.

Additionally, sustainability principles are integral to the centre's design ethos, encompassing energy-efficient lighting, HVAC systems, water-saving fixtures, the use of eco-friendly materials and biophilic design elements such as indoor plants and green wall are incorporated to reduce stress and promote healing.

At the street level, the architecture emphasizes integration with the urban landscape through thoughtful detailing and materiality. The final form balances heavy, earth-toned masonry with warm wood accents and strategic glazing, creating a palette that feels timeless yet distinctly modern. By incorporating integrated planters and a refined pedestrian approach, the exterior design extends the sanctuary’s welcoming atmosphere beyond its walls, inviting the community to engage with the space long before they reach the entrance.
